• Why AT89C2051 ? AT89C2051 is a simplified version of AT89C51 Microcontroller, it is compatible with the industry-standard MCS-51 instruction set, there is 2K bytes of Flash, 128 bytes of RAM, 15 I/O lines, two 16-bit timers/counters, a five vector two-level interrupt archietecture ... for more details, click here for specification sheet
• For beginners, those formal training boards may keep them away because of complication in layout, plenty of components on a small board, a very big operating guide. In simple words, too many things !
• For beginners, a easy to success project can trigger their interest to go deeper and achieve professional skill, this is one of the purposes of this board
• Why not AT89C51 ? Basic I/O practice doesn't need so many pins, unnecessary pins may make learning and practice complicated. In addition, this board may become one of the finished projects and involved in daily life, so a smaller MCU for very basic training AND practical usage is chosen in this kit
• Why no PCB ? PCB is easy to assembly, but learners/beginners never have to carefully think about the routing and connections. Since beginners need to learn about Microcontroller skills, why not do more practice ?
